EVERGREEN, CO
The view from this site is unmatched. Overlooking Evergreen lake to the west, this project resulted in a concept rich with glazing and a covered deck extending out over the hillside, positioning the observer in the midst of the landscape.
The family for whom this house was designed dreamed of a mountain contemporary home. Earthy in its use of wood and steel, a connection is made between the home and its surroundings. An inviting east-facing entrance is paired thoughtfully with large windows through which an eye-catching, modern steel staircase leads up to a vaulted loft space and down to a walkout basement.
